Roosevelt City has made a $3
Million commitment to build a new community pool. Duchesne County offered
another $1 M to the project, and now it is up to us - citizens of Roosevelt City and
surrounding areas - to raise additional funds for a better, more elaborate
facility. The multi-sport field house and other
pool portions will be added to this project as sufficient funding is secured.
Right now we are looking for donations of any size from community residents and local businesses. Large donations are obviously appreciated, but there is equal success in many smaller donations. Please bring to our attention companies that may offer an employee match program for charitable donations, as well as individuals or businesses who would be interested in making the Wellness Center happen. The goal is to keep these efforts local so that we can more effectively approach major companies and grantors.
If you want to keep tabs on how much money has been raised, you can keep checking the thermometer graphic on the left of this page. Since not all donations are made online, the graphic will reflect a more accurate amount than the PayPal widget to the right.
Tax information: most cash donations should qualify for both a charitable contribution deduction AND the enterprise zone tax credit. With the enterprise zone tax credit the average family can receive approximately a $70 reduction in their taxes on a $100 donation. In other words, the actual cost of a $100 donation would be only $30 for the average family.

It’s time to get everyone involved—youth groups, students, scouts, clubs, service organizations, teams—everyone makes a difference. The more people involved, the quicker we reach our goal. We can make this facility a reality!
